History
Sakurai flute was established in 1959. We are devoted to the handcraft industry style and challenging the diverse possibilities.
In addition to the flute in C, we produce the piccolo flute, the alto flute, the flute in D, the flute in E♭ etc. Sakurai venerates the traditional methods of “seamed pipe” and “wooden flute”. Specifically, Sakurai is a pioneer of wooden flute.
Sakurai is challenging the study of new materials in partnership with other companies. Some examples include the flute made by fine ceramic with INAX at 1989, the flute made by artificial marble with MRC DuPont CORIAN® at 1997 and made COMPLITE flute with NITTAX at 2002. Now COMPLITE flute is in line-up.
